Robbie Mustoe and Robbie Earle react to Match Round 24 of the 2022-23 Premier League season.
- (1:00) Arsenal came from behind to beat Aston Villa 4-2. The win sends Arsenal back to the top of the table by 2 points and Jorginho scored the goal ahead goal which was enough to earn him Robbie Earle’s Underappreciated Performer of the Week.
- (12:47) Manchester City drop points and give up the lead at the top of the table, as they drew 1-1 to Nottingham Forest. Erling Haaland missed a sitter and it would come back to haunt City as they gave up a goal late.
- (19:19) Manchester United beat Leicester City 3-0 behind two Marcus Rashford goals as the striker keeps up his red hot form. With the win, United go just three points behind Manchester City for second place.
- (32:15) Liverpool got a much needed win, beating Newcastle United 2-0 behind goals from Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo. Nick Pope was shown a straight red card for a handball outside the box, and he will miss the EFL Cup final against Manchester United, as will backup goalkeeper Martin Dubravka who is cup tied.
- (37:59) Tottenham beat West Ham 2-0 to get back into top 4 in the Premier League. Hueng Min-Son came off the bench to score for Spurs. The loss keeps the Hammers in the bottom three in the prem, sitting on 18th place with 20 points. Emerson Royal scored, and that was enough to earn him Robbie Mustoe’s Underappreciated Performer of the Week.
- (51:19) Chelsea continue to struggle under Graham Potter, losing to bottom of the table Southampton 1-0 at home. Chelsea still find themselves in tenth, and questions remain about Potter in charge. Southampton interim manager Ruben Selles got his first win in charge, as he looks to bring Southampton out of the relegation zone
- (58:50) In maybe the most important game of the so far for the bottom of the table, Everton beat Leeds 1-0. The win sees Everton get out of the relegation zone and into 16th place, while Leeds remain in the bottom three in 19th.
- (1:04:39) Another important match for the relegation threatened squads, Bournemouth beat Wolves 1-0 to also stay above the relegation zone
- (1:06:52) Brighton took on Fulham in a matchup of teams fighting for European places. With Fulham edging out Brighton 1-0. Fulham find themselves in 6th place in the Premier League on 38 points.
- (1:08:52) Brentford came from 1-0 down to grab a late equalizer to draw 1-1 with Crystal Palace, the Bees continue their impressive run in the league, currently sitting in 9th.
